Thank you for your interest in my practice of Acupuncture and
East Asian Medicine. I am a National Board certified acupuncturist and one
of the first acupuncturists credentialed by a major teaching hospital,
Beth Israel Medical Center/ Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
My acupuncture practice draws on many years of experience
that I have both in traditional East Asian healing modalities and
the Western scientific research. I utilize the following modalities
and techniques in my practice:
· Classical Chinese Acupuncture, including Gua Sha
· Japanese Acupuncture, including Moxibustion
· Acupuncture Physical Medicine, which combines
Meridian Acupuncture with the theory of muscle Trigger Points
developed by Janet Travell, MD. This technique is particularly
effective for pain.
· Pediatric Acupuncture with Acupressure, Gua Sha and
Essential Oils
· Allergy and Sensitivity Elimination Techniques
· Chinese Herbal Recommendations
· Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations based on on traditional
East Asian Medicine
· Formal and Informal Hypnosis
In addition to my clinical practice, I am on the faculty of the
Tri-State College of Acupuncture
MY PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
In East Asian Medicine, the person is seen in the totality of his or her
experiences, beliefs, environment and life choices. Inherent to acupuncture is
the assumption that every person, no matter the severity of the problem,
has in himself or herself a potential to heal. My clinical practice is based on
the belief that health is an ever changing, dynamic process; I see my role
in this process as a knowledgeable guide and facilitator.
I am especially interested in working with women to promote their health
in times of transition and to support their fertility. I also work with patients
suffering from chronic and debilitating illnesses.
In my work with children I use traditional techniques that do not require
needling, like gua sha, aromatic oils, acupressure and allergy clearing.
I practice at the Continuum Center for Health and Healing, an initiative of
Beth Israel Medical Center, which provides fully integrative care by
practitioners of traditional and indigenous medicines, including East Asian medicine,
progressive mind-body therapies and modern Western medicine.
I am looking forward to welcoming you to our Center, a very unique place where
a more meaningful model of healthcare is being shaped by the practitioners
and the patients together.
You are welcome to contact me at the Center:
