The Continuum Center for Health and Healing opened in June 2000 as an initiative
of Beth Israel Medical Center. It is the largest, most comprehensive
integrative health care center in the country.
The goal of the Center is to create patient-centered care and to introduce changes
to the way medicine is practiced in ths country.
Health services include Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine,
Holistic Pediatrics, Ginecology, Psychiatry and Primary Care,
Homeopathy, Nutrition, Mind-Body Psychology, Chiropratic, Massage and
Craniosacral Therapy. Center's library services provide
opportunities for the patients to educate themselves about new options
in health care, wellness and prevention.

New York Society for Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnosis has been training
health professionals in hypnosis for over twenty years. NYSEPH's founding members, who
studied directly with Dr. Milton Erickson, built a training program infused with the
creative ideals of Erickson's approach to hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. The NYSEPH's
100-hour Training Program is chartered by the N.Y. State Board of Regents and is
one of the most intensive and comprehensive programs in the country.

Established in 1979, the Tri-State College of Acupuncture is one of the
oldest schools of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the United States.
Recognized internationally as one of the best acupuncture training institutes in
the United States, the College boasts a world-renowned senior clinical faculty,
many of whom are leaders in the field, dedicated to the most comprehensive and
integrative education in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
The School offers low cost acupuncture services in its student clinic and is
affiliated with the Riverside Church clinic, where TSCA's graduates provide

and well-being through the teaching of Ohashiatsu -

Dai Bosatsu Zendo is a Zen Buddhist Monastery located in the
Catskill Mountains. Appart from being a wonderful place to study Zen Buddhism,
the Zendo offers summer Wellness Retreats for people with HIV/AIDS.
The four-day Retreat gives the participants an opportunity to experience a
peaceful and meditative environment of the secluded lake and mountains, as well
as free bodywork sessions offered by volunteer bodyworkers.

Biotin, also known as Vitamin H, belongs to the Vitamin B group.
It is neccessary for healthy skin, hair and nails. Biotin deficiency is
caused by the intake of rancid fats or raw egg white, among others, and
it has been cited in some skin disorders, like eczema.
